Pork Storage and Cooking Tips:
- Defrost frozen pork in the refrigerator
- When preparing pork for the freezer remove air from the bag before sealing in order to avoid freezer burn which can make it tough and tasteless when it is cooked
- Use a meat thermometer. When the pork is at 160°F it is finished
- Cook ground pork and sausage thoroughly
- Your refrigerator should be between 36-40°F (2-4°C) and your freezer should be 0°F (-18°C)
